No, but you can find all our dyeable styles in our Dyeable Wedding Shoes collection.
Dyed shoes are non-refundable due to their bespoke nature so we would always recommend purchasing ivory shoes first to make sure they are a good fit, then send them back to us to be dyed.
If you have dried mud on your shoes, you should be able to remove this with a soft dry brush. Due to our dye being water based we strongly advise not cleaning dyed shoes. Even if the shoes have been extremely protected, they will not be waterproof so, if customers try to clean the shoes with liquid products, they are likely to end up with watermarks / colour fading.
You most certainly can! If they are a little grass stained / scuffed, we would recommend going for navy or black. However the dyeing process will not cover stains and scuffs.
Unfortunately, we can only guarantee the dye on our own shoes so we do not accept other brands.
Yes, so be aware that lace is a contrasting fabric to satin, therefore the lace will dry lighter than the main body of the shoe or handbag. The more vibrant or darker the colour, the more noticeable it will be. Elastics and straps may vary in colour from the main body of the shoe once dyed. Trims, beading, edgings, stitching, chiffons and pleats may cause the dye to dry a slightly paler or darker shade.
Our hand colouring service takes up to 14 working days from receipt of the order at Paradox London. If you need your shoes and accessories to be returned quicker than this, we offer a priority service which ensures your shoes are dyed and returned to them within 7 working days of receipt of the order.
This means that the shoes or handbags will be dyed in natural light conditions, so the colour may vary if viewed under electric/artificial light. This is because artificial lighting typically intensifies warmer colours such as red, orange and yellow but dulls cooler colours like blue.
Swatches can be a fabric swatch, a button, a reel of cotton or a paint card. If you want to have something matched to another item (e.g. fascinator, bag), you can send this in and we will return this along with your dye order. When sending in a two-tone fabric, it will be required for you to state which colour you would like us to dye your shoes / accessories to – this will ensure there are no delays with the order. Any shoe which is available in dyeable ivory satin can also be lightened to white.
Our dye form is available on our Dyeable Wedding Shoes page or you can access directly from here as well.
Our shoes are in Euro sizes (unless stated). Please find below our size guide to help you find the perfect fitting shoe. Our standard width shoes follow the UK standard ‘D’ fitting and our wide fitting shoes follow the UK wide ‘E’ fitting.
We offer an E wide fitting — you can find our Wide Fit collection online.
It is difficult to say what “true to size" is, due to every foot being slightly different. However, we do get many reviews for our styles saying they are “true to size”. We would advise checking the reviews on each pair before purchasing to hear what other customers have thought about the fit.
Micro suede is a fine, closely woven synthetic fabric that gives the soft, brushed look of natural suede while offering greater resistance to everyday wear and light moisture. With a little regular attention, your Micro Suede shoes will keep their appearance for years.
Before First Wear
Apply a protector spray formulated for synthetic or microfibre suede before the shoes are worn for the first time. Spray evenly from a distance of about twenty centimetres, allow the shoes to dry fully in a well-ventilated room away from direct heat, and repeat every few months with regular use.
Everyday Care
Brush the shoes gently after each wear with a soft bristle or suede brush, working in one direction to lift the nap and remove surface dust.
Spills and Marks
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, as rubbing pushes the liquid deeper into the fibres. For light marks, brush the area once it is completely dry. For a more visible
stain, work a small amount of mild soap diluted in water into the mark using a soft cloth, then wipe away with a second cloth dampened with plain water and leave to air dry.
Water and Weather
Micro suede resists light rain better than natural suede, though it is not fully waterproof. If the shoes become wet, remove any surface moisture with a dry cloth and leave them to dry naturally at
room temperature, away from radiators, direct sunlight or other direct heat sources. Once dry, brush gently to restore the nap.
Storage
Store shoes with shoe trees or acid free tissue paper to help them keep their shape, ideally in a dust bag or box away from direct sunlight and damp conditions.
What to Avoid
Avoid bleach, solvent based cleaners and household products not intended for suede or microfibre fabrics, as these can cause discolouration or staining. Do not dry the shoes with a hairdryer or near
direct heat, as rapid drying can stiffen the fabric. For a stubborn or set in stain, we recommend seeking a specialist shoe care service rather than treating it repeatedly at home.
Some natural fraying will occur around buckle and heel edges — this is normal for satin.
Glitter shoes bring a beautiful finish to any occasion, and because the sparkle is applied to the surface of the shoe, a little extra care will keep it looking its best for years to come.
Everyday Care
Wipe the shoes over after each wear with a clean, dry, soft bristled brush or a soft cloth to remove dust and lift away any surface debris. Handle the shoes by the sole or heel rather than gripping the glittered upper, as repeated pressure and friction are the main causes of glitter loosening over time.
Spills and Marks
For light marks, wait until the area is completely dry, then brush gently. For a more visible mark, dab, rather than rub, with a microfibre cloth very lightly dampened with water and a touch of mild soap, then dry immediately with a clean cloth. Always test on a small, hidden area first, as excess moisture is the most common cause of glitter lifting or dulling.
Water and Weather
Glitter shoes are not designed for wet conditions. Direct contact with water can cause the glitter to peel or fade, so these shoes are best kept for dry indoor occasions. If the shoes are caught in light rain, wipe away any moisture immediately with a dry cloth and allow them to air dry fully before storing.
Storage
Store each pair separately in its own soft bag or box lined with tissue paper, rather than alongside other shoes, as contact and friction between pairs is a common cause of shedding. Keep away from direct sunlight and damp conditions to preserve both colour and sparkle.
What to Avoid
Avoid storing in hot areas, heat can melt the adhesive beneath the glitter and cause it to shed. Avoid scrubbing, harsh chemicals and bleach, all of which loosen the glitter finish. Do not use a hairdryer or dry the shoes near a radiator or other direct heat source. For significant shedding or a stubborn stain, we recommend seeking a specialist shoe care service rather than repeated treatment at home.
Satin has a beautiful, delicate finish that is especially prone to marking, so it rewards a little extra care both before and after wear. Ivory in particular show marks more readily than darker satins, so
take extra care with these.
Before First Wear
Apply a fabric protector spray designed for satin before the shoes are worn for the first time. This forms a light barrier that helps prevent water and light spills from soaking in and leaving a mark.
Allow the shoes to dry fully before wearing.
Everyday Care
Keep satin shoes away from anywhere they might be knocked or scuffed before or between wears. Remove dust or light dirt with a soft, dry, clean cloth, using gentle strokes rather than pressure.
Spills and Marks
Dab spills immediately with a clean, white, dry cloth. Never rub, as this can spread the mark and wear the fabric. For a visible stain, mix a small amount of mild detergent with cold water, dip a soft
clean cloth into the solution, then work gently over the mark using small circular motions before blotting dry. Always use a white or uncoloured cloth, as dyed fabric can transfer colour onto satin.
Water and Weather
Satin is highly prone to watermarks, so any area that becomes wet should be dried quickly and evenly to avoid a visible ring forming as it dries. Blot away excess moisture immediately, then dry the area using a hairdryer on its coolest setting, held a short distance away and kept moving continuously over the fabric. Stuff the toes with tissue paper while drying to help the shoes keep their shape.
Storage
Store the shoes in their original box wrapped in acid free tissue paper, or in a dust bag, away from direct sunlight and damp conditions. Fully dry shoes before returning them to storage, as trapped
moisture can cause marking and damage over time.
What to Avoid
Avoid saturating the fabric with water at any stage. Avoid bleach and harsh household cleaners, which can discolour and weaken satin. Do not attempt to clean heavy staining or embroidered and beaded detailing at home, as this risks permanent damage. For stubborn marks, wine, oil or make up stains, or intricate embellishment, we recommend seeking a specialist shoe or fabric cleaning service.
Dyed Shoes
If shoes have been dyed, we recommend spraying them with fabric protector spray as the dye is not colourfast. Any contact with water or moisture of any kind can cause the dye to transfer. Please note that once shoes have been sprayed with protector, they cannot be redyed to a different colour at a later stage. Please refer to full dye terms and conditions for more information.
