Ladies Day at the Royal Ascot is in full swing today, as we see an array of weird and wonderful fascinators. It’s a fabulous day for the ladies to socialise and see some incredible races, plus it’s all about the outfits, as the cameras look for the best dressed women throughout the day. Guest appearances from the royal family is expected, but as to WHO it will be, I'm not too sure.

The Royal Ascot always has house rules every year for the dress codes that must be abided by. For example, this year there are to be no bare shoulders, or midriffs. Men are expected to wear shirts and ties whilst in the grandstand.

One woman that caught the attention of the cameras is Miss Diana Horn all the way from Austin, Texas. She wore a simple black shift dress, but adorned this with an incredible fascinator that cascaded down her silhouette. It was decadently crafted and really made Miss Horn steal the spotlight.

The first race of the day is The Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) at 2:30pm. With a prize fund of £100,000 it’s a fabulous race to start with. The one to watch with be The Gold Cup (Group 1) at 4:20pm, with a prize fund of £400,000!

With The Royal Ascot finishing on Saturday 24th, we can expect to see more incredibly beautiful outfits from both the ladies, and the gentlemen too! Those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to be at the races will just have to enjoy it from afar (yes, I am very bitter that I am not there to enjoy it!).
